Connect Miro to Rovo
Before you begin
You need Company Admin permissions in Miro to connect to Rovo.
You can only connect Rovo to a single team, or your entire organisation.
Only Miro boards will be available to Rovo.
Rovo will always respect permissions. Users will only ever see boards that they already have access to.
Connecting to Miro
You may need to first approve the Atlassian Rovo app can be used, depending on your company settings. To check:
Go to miro.com/app/settings/.
Ensure your team or organisation is selected in the top left. From the left navigation, select Apps and integrations > Apps.
Select the Manage apps tab.
If Allow only apps from the list below is enabled, you’ll need to pre-approve the Rovo app.
Search for ‘Atlassian Rovo’ in the text field that says Enter app name or clientID.
Select Approve.
You can either enable it for specific teams, or enable it for your entire org.
If Allow only apps from the list below is disabled, you don’t need to do anything more. The app will be added as you go through the steps below.
Back in Atlassian Administration, to get to the setup screen for Miro:
Go to admin.atlassian.com. Select your organization if you have more than one.
Select Settings > Rovo.
Under Activated sites, next to the site you want to connect, select More actions () and select Add connector.
Select Miro and press Next.
Enter a name for your Miro connection.
Review the disclaimer.
Select Authorize Miro.
A new tab will open to step you through Miro authorization. You can change the team you want Rovo to connect to. Rovo can only connect to a single team, but your whole organization has a team you can select (it looks similar to your teams, but it’s just the name of your organisation).
Review and accept the permissions to connect. Select Add.
Next steps
After you’ve finished connecting Miro:
Boards will start to show in Search incrementally over the next few hours.
Your team members will see Miro show up as a filter option in Search. If they haven’t connected to Miro from their Atlassian account, they may be asked to connect before they can see results. This is required so Rovo can make sure your teammates only see files that they already have access to.
Depending on the number in Miro, it may take some time for all your boards to be indexed and appear in Search.
