Modify the URL of a sandbox

You can update the sandbox URL to clarify the purpose of your sandbox. For example, if you’ve used the prefix test and want to later change it to preprod, you can change the URL.
You can update the subdomain up to 15 times. What happens after the URL is updated
If you have multiple sandboxes in a site, the URLs of all sandboxes in that site will be updated.
After updating the URL, you can reuse the old URL for another sandbox or sandbox site only 30 days after the sandbox site associated with that URL is permanently deleted.
To update a sandbox URL:
Go to Atlassian Administration. Select your organization if you have more than one.
Select Apps > Sandboxes.
In the table, find the sandbox site you want to modify the URL for.
Select Update sandbox URL. You’ll navigate to the App URLs page.
For the site you want to update, select Update URL.
Enter the beginning of the new site URL. You’ll need to enter at least 3 characters. You can use lowercase letters, numbers, and hyphens if they’re in the middle of the name.
Select Continue.
You’ll see the list of sandboxes that will use the new URL. Select Update to confirm you want to change the URLs.
The update may take up to 5 minutes to complete.
