Restore a sandbox

When you delete a sandbox, it transitions into an offline state that can be restored within 30 days. After 30 days in the offline state, the sandbox is permanently deleted with all its data.

If you didn’t want to delete a sandbox, then you can restore it while it is in the offline state.

Restore a sandbox

To restore a sandbox:

  1. Go to admin.atlassian.com. Select your organization if you have more than one.

  2. Select Products > Sandbox.

  3. Under Actions for a specific sandbox, select Restore.

We will automatically restore the sandbox with all its data.

When adding a new sandbox to an existing sandbox site, all the offline sandboxes will show up as available products. Choosing an offline sandbox will overwrite the existing sandbox.

If you have multiple sandboxes in the same site, you need to restore them individually.
