Opt in and out of the unified cloud-to-cloud copy experience
The capability to copy Jira Service Management data from one instance of your Jira Cloud to another is only available to customers who’ve signed up for our Early Access Program (EAP).
Beginning in January 2024, we started moving the Jira cloud-cloud migration feature to Atlassian administration at admin.atlassian.com as part of the new unified experience. Read more about this change
If you’re actively using the Jira cloud-to-cloud migration feature and if you have saved or completed migrations, you’ll get an option to opt into the unified experience starting April 24, 2024.
From June 19, 2024, you’ll no longer be able to use the legacy experience. We recommend you opt into the new unified experience. The new and the legacy experiences use the same infrastructure so there won’t be any change in the way you move or copy your data.

How to opt into the new unified cloud-to-cloud experience
Starting April 24, 2024, you’ll receive a popup message to opt in when you access the cloud-to-cloud migration feature. The message will appear if:
You’re an existing user of the cloud-to-cloud migration feature
You have saved and completed migrations
You don’t have any in-progress migrations.
If you opt-in, we’ll move your migrations and redirect you to the unified experience. You can continue to copy data.
You can also opt-in to use the unified experience by going to admin.atlassian.com. To opt in:
Settings > Data management > Copy product data.
Select Opt into the unified experience.
You can choose to opt in later. The option to opt-in will be available until June 21, 2024, after which you’ll no longer be able to use the legacy experience.
To opt in later:
Select Later when you receive the popup message.
On the Migration overview page, select Opt into the unified experience when you want to opt in.
How to opt out of the unified experience
We don’t recommend opting out of the unified experience, but if you want to opt out temporarily, perform these steps:
Go to admin.atlassian.com. Select your organization if you have more than one.
Select Settings > Data management > Copy product data.
From the Actions menu, select Opt out of the unified experience.
When you opt out, we’ll move your copy plans to the product instance from where you opted in. You’ll able to run migrations from your product instance.
