Atlassian Analytics is in an early access program

Only people who are part of this invite-only early access program have access to Atlassian Analytics.

Edit data source connection details

You must have permission to manage a data source in order to edit its connection details.

If you change the login credentials or host information for your third-party database, you’ll need to update these details in the corresponding data source in Atlassian Analytics. This ensures that your connection and charts querying the data source do not break.

To edit your data source’s connection details:

  1. Select Data from the global navigation.

  2. Select the data source whose connection details you’d like to edit.

  3. Go to the Connection tab.

  4. Update the necessary connection fields.

  5. Optionally, select Test connection to verify each connection field.

  6. Select Save.

Edit an Atlassian Data Lake connection

Editing your product selections for an Atlassian Data Lake connection is currently unavailable. If you need to add or remove product data, you’ll need to create a new connection then grant access to your teammates accordingly.

Move a database connection

If you’ve moved your database from one server to another, do not disconnect the data source in Atlassian Analytics.

You can modify the existing connection details for the data source to maintain the connection.

To update the connection details with your new database information:

  1. Select Data from the global navigation.

  2. Select the data source whose connection details you’d like to edit.

  3. Go to the Connection tab.

  4. Update the hostname of your database.

  5. If the credentials of the new database user differs from the old one’s, update the Username and User password too.

  6. Optionally, select Test connection to verify each connection field.

  7. Select Save.
