Connect to a data source
A data source is a supported database or application housing the data you’d like to access. Data sources could be within Atlassian or external, third-party tools.
When you connect a data source to Insights, you set up an integration with it. This means that when you ask questions in Insights, your answers will contain the most up-to-date data that’s available from the connected data sources
Atlassian data sources
Atlassian Data Lake
Your Insights app is automatically connected to Atlassian Data Lake. This will give you access to data across different Atlassian apps within your organization. Read about Atlassian Data Lake
Teamwork Graph
In addition to Atlassian Data Lake, you can also connect to Teamwork Graph, which connects teamwork data from across Atlassian apps, like Jira and Confluence, as well as external tools.
When you access Insights, you will be prompted to connect Teamwork Graph. Follow the instructions to connect it to Insights.
Jira Align Enterprise Insights
If you have Jira Align, your Insights app is automatically connected to it. This will enable your organization to access your Jira Align data in Insights. Read about Jira Align Enterprise Insights

Insights also lets you connect to your third-party data sources. With the help of Atlassian and third-party data sources, Insights can provide more robust answers and create detailed dashboards.
