Copy production data (early access feature)
The feature to select and copy data in Confluence and Jira products is currently available to a select group of customers through a limited-time Early Access Program (EAP).
Copy production data to a sandbox
Copy production data to your sandbox using one of the following methods:
Specific spaces/ projects add data from the production site to the sandbox along with any pre-existing data. If there is any conflicting or pre-existing data in the sandbox, it will be overwritten.
All spaces/ projects replace all existing data in your sandbox with a copy of the production data.
In both methods, you can choose to include or exclude attachments.
To copy data from your production to its sandbox:
Go to admin.atlassian.com. Select your organization if you have more than one.
Select Products > Sandbox.
Under Actions in the product table, select Copy production data.
Follow the prompts to copy All projects / spaces or only Specific projects / spaces, with or without attachments.
Review the data to be copied.
Select Copy data.
The data will vary depending on whether you're copying Confluence or Jira product data. Learn what gets copied for Confluence and Jira products
The process of copying data may encounter issues if the uncompressed XML file size of your Jira product exceeds 40GB. For Jira products over this size, a monthly data copy can be performed. For the need to copy Jira product files larger than 40GB, contact support
