Manage permissions at the data source level

There are different permission levels you can assign to people to configure their access to a data source or dashboard.

Data source permissions and dashboard permissions are independent of each other. For example, if a person has access to a data source used for a dashboard, it does not automatically give them access to that dashboard. They’ll need the appropriate permission level assigned to them to access the dashboard.

Analytics admin permissions

Analytics admins have the ability to access all data sources and dashboards in the Atlassian Analytics workspace. When an Analytics admin opens a dashboard or views a data source’s settings for the first time, they are automatically granted permission to manage that dashboard or data source.
