Add, edit, and delete a work type scheme

As a Jira administrator, you can create and use work type schemes to associate a set of work types with a project. Your project administrators can then choose which work type scheme makes the most sense for the work being done in each of their projects. 

Add a new work type scheme

1. Select > Work items.

2. Click Work type schemes.

3. Click Add work type scheme.

4. Enter a name and description that defines the types of work items you'll be adding to this scheme. 

5. Select the work types you want to add to this scheme from the available list, or click Add work type to create a new one. 

6. Drag and drop the work types for this scheme to change the order in which they appear when creating a work item.

7. Choose a default work type that will appear first when creating a new work item.

Delete a work type scheme

Before deleting a work type scheme, we recommend making sure all projects are associated with another scheme. The work type migration wizard will also help you catch any existing work types that need to be migrated when deleting a scheme. 

1. Select > Work items.

2. In the Work types section, click Work type schemes.

Use the work type migration wizard

The migration wizard helps you migrate work items to an existing work type when you are editing or deleting a work type scheme. You will be automatically prompted to use the wizard whenever you're removing an existing work type when editing or deleting a work type scheme.

1. Within the wizard, choose a new work type. 

2. 新しいステータスとフィールド値を設定します。 

3. Repeat for each of the work types that need to be migrated.
