This dashboard shows how much time open Jira issues have spent in their current and past statuses. This will help you understand if your processes have been improving over time. It only analyzes issues that are either in “To do” or “In progress” status. The time-in-status trend displays data for all issues in the statuses shown in the charts during a specific time frame, as shown along the x-axis.
Time in current status is calculated in days, rounded up to the next nearest value. For example, if an issue was in “To do” status from May 8th, 2023 to May 12th, 2023, its time in status will be five days. Similarly, if an issue enters and exits the "To do" status on the same day, the “Time in current status” will count as one day. You can include or exclude weekends in the time calculations using the Weekends control on this dashboard.
You can filter the entire dashboard by date range, Jira project, date bucket (to change the date format on the x-axis), issue type, issue labels, issue assignee, and exclude weekends from the calculations.
