Keyboard shortcuts

Sometimes dragging your cursor and clicking over and over again can feel tedious, so to make your life a bit easier, we’ve added some convenient keyboard shortcuts to help you build your charts faster.

Available shortcuts:

Command + click (Mac) or Control + click

Select multiple columns from the schema browser in a visual mode query; the schema browser won’t close between selections

Command + click on table name (Mac) or Control + click on table name

Select all columns in the table from the schema browser in a visual mode query; the schema browser won’t close between selections

Command + Return (Mac) or Ctrl + Enter

Runs a query or cancels a running query

Command + Shift + F

Formats your SQL mode query

Return or Enter

Applies and saves a Visual SQL step, except for queries and the “Filter rows” step

Esc

Cancels and closes the form of a Visual SQL step if you didn’t make any changes to it

Command + C or Control + C

Copies the selected Visual SQL step to your clipboard

Command + X or Control + X

Copy the selected Visual SQL step to your clipboard and remove it from its current location

Command + V or Control + V

Pastes the copied Visual SQL step after the selected Visual SQL step

Command + Z (Mac) or Control + Z

Undo Visual SQL steps and other changes

Command + Y (Mac) or Control + Y or Control + Shift + Z

Redo Visual SQL steps and other changes
