Import data directly from Trello into Jira Work Management
Moving your work from Trello to Jira Work Management just got easier. You can now directly import data from Trello into Jira Work Management using the Trello importer. The importer directly pulls information from your Trello account, saving you the effort of manually moving data and ensuring the project information is relevant and accurate.
If you’re looking to import your work into Jira Software and Jira Service Management, you can do so using a CSV file. Learn how to use the CSV importer
Use the Trello importer
To directly import your data using the Trello importer:
Admins can create and import data into both company-managed and team-managed projects.
Users with the permission to create projects can only create and import data into team-managed projects but won’t be able to move users into the new project. All user fields in the new project will be unassigned and user tags in comments will appear as plain text.
From the navigation bar, select Projects > Create a new project.
From the sidebar, go to More > select Import data.
Select Import to a new business project (Only admins need to select this option. Users with Create project permission will be directed to the import page).
Go to Import from apps > select Trello.
Select the Trello workspace and the Trello board from where you’d like to move your data. Select Next.
Admins can add a valid email address for each user to import their information into the business project. Select Next once you’re done.
Make sure to provide the correct email address for each user to avoid data loss and to import the right users into your business project. The current release does not support email invites but we’re working on enabling this feature soon.
Note: Users without an email address won’t be added to the project. These users will appear as “Anonymous” or “@trellousername” in the business project.
Name your business project, and select Import.
The Key will automatically be selected for you. You can modify the Project name and Key later in the Project Settings.
The importer will automatically start moving the data from Trello in the background, and the progress bar will indicate the status of your import. Once the data is imported, it will show on the board view as issues in your new project. Learn more about the board view

Importing to Jira Work Managementfrom other tools
Importing your data from other tools like Asana, Monday, etc., is coming soon. You can export the data from these products and import it as a CSV file into Jira Work Management. Learn more about exporting from other tools
