Move and transition issues through a workflow

alt="Dragging a card in the board into a new column to change its status."

To transition your issue through a workflow in the board, drag the issue you’d like to transition to a different column.

You can only drag your issue to a status that’s in order of your business project’s workflow. For example, you’re unable to drag a card from To do → Done. It needs to be dragged in the order of your workflow’s transition.

Alternatively, you can:

  1. Open the issue dialog of the issue you’d like to transition.

  2. Select the dropdown to change the status at the top right corner.

Change the order of your issues

Drag and drop an issue within a column to rank it higher in the column, or lower on the board. You can move items around within a column, which lets you order tasks any way you like, such as by priority, complexity, or due date.

Quickly perform actions for your cards from within the board

Move even quicker in the board by performing actions for your cards without opening the issue’s detailed view. Hover your cursor over the card and select the three horizontal dots (...) at the top right of the card. You can:

  • Copy the link of the issue

  • Delete the card (if you have the Delete issues permission for the project)

  • Move the card to the top or bottom of the column it’s currently in
