Add, view, and remove dependencies between issues
Dependencies between issues
For company-managed projects
Users with the Link issues permission can add or remove dependencies.
Anyone with access to the project can view dependencies. Learn more about managing company-managed project permissions.
For team-managed projects
Users with the Link any issue permission can add or remove dependencies.
Anyone with access to the project can view dependencies. Learn more about managing access to your team-managed project.
You can link issues in the timeline that are contingent on others being completed first. You can also simply see which issues may be blocked due to another. All issue types can have dependencies.
Add a dependency
To create dependencies between items:
Hover over an item.
Select the link icon that appears and drag it to the dependent item.
View dependency details
To view the dependency details, select the line between dependent items.
Remove a dependency
To remove the dependency:
Select the line between dependent items.
Select the unlink icon
