Enable parallel sprints in Jira

There are some features, such as parallel sprints, in Jira that must be enabled before your team can use them.

Parallel sprints

Parallel sprints let your team start a new sprint when a sprint is already in progress. This is useful for organizations that have different teams tackling several streams of work.

For example, let's say you have two teams, Team Bugfix and Team Feature Development, and these teams are working together to deliver new features and bug fixes for the next version of your software product. Both teams can then work in two simultaneous sprints, which are specific to their corresponding work streams, but for a single project.

How to enable parallel sprints

  1. Choose > Products.

  2. In the Jirasection, click Jira configuration.

  3. Select the toggle to enable parallel sprints.
