Integrate with Snyk

Use the Snyk Security for Jira Cloud app to connect Jira Software to Snyk.

Once connected, this app allows your team to:

  • view security containers (called targets in Snyk) and vulnerabilities (called security issues in Snyk) in Jira Software

  • triage vulnerabilities using the security feature in Jira

  • link vulnerabilities to Jira issues to track them in Jira

Before you begin

To set up the Snyk Security in Jira Cloud app, you need:

  • Site administrator permission for your Jira site.

  • Organization administrator permission for your Snyk account.

In many organizations, the task of connecting Snyk is split between two team members:

  • A site admin will install the Snyk Security in Jira Cloud app, and connect it to a Snyk account.

  • A project admin will add the Snyk Security in Jira Cloud app to a project and connect the relevant security containers.
