Allow anonymous access to spaces

For all Jira Cloud apps apart from Jira Free, you can allow users to view and create work items without logging in.

You can't edit space permissions or roles on the Free plan for Jira, and you can't configure work-level security on any Free plan (including Jira Service Management). Find out more about how space permissions work in Free plans. To take advantage of Jira's powerful space permission management features, upgrade your plan.

If you allow anonymous access to spaces while on a paid plan then change to a Free plan, the anonymous access will be removed.

Enable or disable anonymous access to Jira Cloud spaces

  1. Select Settings ().

  2. Select Work items, then Permission schemes.

  3. Select permissions for the permission scheme of the space that you want to enable or disable anonymous access for.

Anonymous access to view and search for work items in a space

  • To allow users to view and search for work items in a space without logging in, add Public to the Browse Space permission in the permission scheme for the space.

  • To make sure anonymous users can't view work items in a space, verify that the Browse Space permission is only granted to existing space roles, groups, users, or Any logged-in user.

Anonymous access to create work items in a space

  • To allow users to create work items in a space without logging in, add Public to the Create work item permission in the permission scheme for the space.

  • To make sure users can't view work items in the space, verify that the Create work item permission is only granted to existing space roles, groups, users, or Any logged-in user.

Any work item created by a user who's not logged in displays "Anonymous" for the reporter of the work item.

You should also ensure that the anonymous user is able to complete and submit all required fields. For example, if you make the Due Date field required, the anonymous user will also need to have the Schedule work item permission.

共有フィルターまたはダッシュボードへの匿名アクセス

フィルターまたはダッシュボードを誰と共有しているかを確認するには、次の手順を実行します。

  1. [設定] () を選択します。

  2. Choose System, then select Shared filters or Shared dashboards.

  3. ダッシュボードおよびフィルターで [共有対象] 列を確認します。

If a filter or dashboard is shared with Public, the name of the filter or dashboard will be visible to anonymous users. They will be able to see work items (or data about work items) in the filter or dashboard if the space that the work item is in grants access to anonymous users (as described above).

共有フィルタまたはダッシュボードで匿名アクセスを追加 / 削除する

  1. Select More actions () and Change Filter Owner to yourself.

  2. Go to Filters or Dashboards in the sidebar, then select View all filters (or View all dashboards).

  3. Select More actions () and choose Edit.

  4. [共有] セクションで、共有オプションの 1 つとして "公開" を追加または削除します。

Anonymous users will have access equivalent to business space users. In other words, they can view work items and work in any type of space, but they won't see app-specific features, like agile boards, which are Jira-specific features. See Discover Jira Cloud apps for more information.
