Use controls to filter your charts

Controls make it possible for dashboard viewers to dynamically filter or change the way that data is presented in your charts.

Watch the video for an example of how to add “Dropdown” and “Calendar” controls to a dashboard so dashboard viewers can select specific projects and date ranges for the dashboard.

To set up most controls, you need to:

1. Add the control to your dashboard.

2. Connect the control to the charts you want it to affect.
