This page will guide you on how to set up your Atlassian Government Cloud environment and the steps to migrate your data from Atlassian Cloud to Atlassian Government Cloud.

はじめる前に

Before you begin your migration, contact us to get started with your Atlassian Government Cloud environment.

Join Atlassian Government Cloud

Contact us using this form or reach out to your Atlassian point of contact. You’ll participate in assessment workshops to assess your existing data footprint and eligibility for Atlassian Government Cloud and migrations. We’ll then offer a subscription and support for your migration.

Set up your Atlassian Government Cloud environment

After you purchase your Atlassian Government Cloud subscription, you can begin onboarding. During onboarding, Atlassian will provision and pre-configure your Atlassian Government Cloud environment so it’s ready for migration. This includes:

  • Connecting your identity provider

  • ドメインの検証

  • Configuring single sign-on

  • Provisioning Atlassian apps, such as Jira or Confluence

  • Marketplace アプリのインストール

  • Granting access to the Atlassian Government Cloud Support portal for support requests

We’ll need some details from you, such as DNS records or connection details for the identity provider. For details on what’s required, see:

Step 2: Connect to Cloud

To connect your Atlassian Government Cloud environment with your Atlassian Cloud environment:

  1. Select Generate key to create a linking key. Copy the key and store it somewhere you can retrieve it.

  2. Switch to your Atlassian Cloud account. Open a terminal in Mac/Linux or Command Prompt/PowerShell in Windows and paste this curl command in the window.

    curl -X POST \ "<https://api.atlassian.com/api/v2/org-id/<ORG_ID>>/submit-key" \ -u "<your-email>:<API_TOKEN>" \ -H "Content-Type: application/json" \ -H "Accept: application/json" \ -d '{ "key": "<GENERATED_KEY>" }' -w "\nHTTP Status: %{http_code}\n"

3. Add the following details in the command and submit:

  • <ORG_ID>: Provide the organization ID of the source site (Atlassian Cloud).

  • <your-email>: The email address used in your Atlassian Cloud account.

  • <API_TOKEN>: Generate a token from the Atlassian Cloud site and add it.

  • <GENERATED_KEY>: The linking key generated as part of the migration.

4. If you see HTTP 202, the command is successful. If you see the following codes, you'll need to make changes accordingly:

  • 401: API token has expired. Use another API token.

  • B1013: The user is not an organization admin. Make sure you have organization admin permission.

  • B1004: The linking key was already submitted. Generate another linking key and try again.

  • 429: Request is rate limited. Try again after a few minutes.

5. Once you’re done, go back to the migration page, paste the linking key into the Validate your key section, and select Validate.

6. Once the key is validated, select Next.

Step 3: Select the source and destination and include attachments

  1. Select the source (Atlassian Cloud site) and the destination (Atlassian Government Cloud site) sites for the migration.
