What are work item screens in Jira?

Screens allow you to choose which fields are displayed on work items at different stages of your workflow. For example, you might want to remove fields when a work item transitions from a To do status to In progress. This customizability helps you adapt Jira to how your organization works. To make sure that users in your site can work in the way you’re setting up your site, check that:

• the fields you want to add to a screen are part of the space's field scheme and

• users have permission to view and edit the fields 

You can see all your screens, edit them, and create new ones, by navigating to the Jira admin panel using the Settings () icon in the top nav and selecting Screens.
