Enable and disable beta features
The beta features page in Jira admin settings allows you to control access to experimental features for all users on your Jira site. Whenever you turn on a feature, eligible users on your site will see the new experience as it rolls out. When you turn off a feature, it’s disabled for everyone.
How to enable or disable a beta feature
You must have the following to do the things described on this page.
Role: Jira admin
To manage beta features for your site:
Select Settings (), then System.
Under General configuration, select Beta features. You’ll see a list of available beta features for your site, grouped by app or product area.
Use the toggle next to a feature to enable or disable it for all users.
Changes you make here are applied across your site and take effect as soon as features are made available.
What’s changing from Jira Labs?
For a while, users will continue to see Jira Labs in their personal settings.
Existing Labs features will stay in Jira Labs, but per‑user toggles will be disabled. This means anyone who has opted in to a particular feature will remain opted in until that feature is either removed or released to all Jira customers.
New beta features will only be listed on the Beta features page in Jira admin settings (they won’t be available to manage via Jira Labs).
