What is Artificial Intelligence (AI) in Trello?

AI in Trello can generate new content in your card’s descriptions and comments. It can be used to help you brainstorm new content, summarize or shorten the content you already have, find action items in your content, and improve your spelling and grammar.

How do I enable AI?

You can learn how your Workspace / Enterprise admin can enable AI in your Premium Workspace or Enterprise at Active AI for your Trello Worksapce or Enterprise.

How do I use AI?

Generate new content with AI

You can create new content in your cards' descriptions and comments using AI. You can do this by selecting the AI button in the toolbar of your editor while editing a card’s description or creating / editing a comment. When this button is clicked, the AI pop up will appear, which will allow you to generate new content based on the prompt you enter.

My organization has a Trello Standard subscription. Can I use AI in Trello?

Using AI to help write or edit content in card descriptions and comments is only available in Trello Premium and Enterprise. To continue to use this feature, please upgrade to Premium or Enterprise. With AI, you’ll be able to do a lot more in your Trello cards including summarizing meeting notes, creating action items, and improving descriptions.

Creating cards with AI summaries is available with Trello Standard.

I am not subscribed to any Trello subscription. Can I use AI in Trello?

AI to help generate, improve, and summarize content is only available to Premium and Enterprise customers.
