View and edit app links in Atlassian Government environments
Application links, or app links, allow you to connect Jira to external applications or to other products within the same Atlassian Government environment.
Before you begin
You must be a Jira Cloud administrator to complete these steps. More about Jira Cloud permissions
View application links
Go to Jira settings, then Products.
Select Application Links.
Here you will find details related to each app link you’ve created. An app link could be in various states.
Various states of an app link
These statuses communicate the direction between app links. External applications always show non-Atlassian.
SYSTEM— Automatically created system application link. They are not modifiable or deletable by administrators.NON-ATLASSIAN— The application link connects to a non-Atlassian application.CONNECTED— The connection between both applications is working.NETWORK ERROR— There is a problem with the network connection, preventing communication between the applications.RECREATION NEEDED— Link is malfunctioning and needs to be recreated.PARTICALLY CONFIGURED— Some configuration settings for the application link are incomplete or incorrect.PARTICALLY CONNECTED— Only one-way communication is established.SETTING UP— The configuration for the application link isn’t complete yet.RESUBMISSION REQUIRED— The application link requires resubmission of the OAuth configuration details to proceed with the creation.ACCESS DENIED— The application link is unable to connect due to insufficient permissions on the linked (remote) application.CONFIG ERROR— There is an error in the configuration settings of the application link.DEPRECATED— The application link is outdated and no longer recommended.DISABLED— The outgoing and incoming connections are both set to disabledSTATUS UNAVAILABLE— We’re unable to determine the status of the application link.
Edit app links
Find the app link you wish to edit. From More […], select Edit.
Follow the prompts in the setup wizard to update your OAuth 2.0 details. Make the necessary changes just like you did during the initial setup.
Select Update.
