Create a new permission scheme
Space permission schemes, space roles, and work item security schemes aren’t available on Free Jira sites. More about Free plans
Permission schemes determine who can do what in a space. Like other schemes in Jira, these can be used by multiple spaces, allowing admins to quickly update permissions at scale.
The processes on this page require the Administer Jira permission.
To create a permission scheme:
Select Settings (), then Work items.
Under Work item attributes, select Permission Schemes. You may need to scroll down since it’s at the bottom of the list.
To create a new permission scheme, select Add Permission Scheme.
Give your new scheme a name and a short description, then select Add.
Once you’ve created a permission scheme, you can use it to grant access to users, and then associate it to a space.
