As a Jira admin, you can change the gadgets and the layout of this default dashboard to show the most important information for your team. Note that the default dashboard cannot be deleted.
Admins can share default dashboards with their organisations or the public, but not with specific groups, projects, or people. Use this to turn off anonymous access to your default dashboard.
To choose who can view the default dashboard:
Select > System.
In the User interface section, select Default dashboard.
Select ··· > Share dashboard.
Select the dropdown under Viewers.
Choose one of the following:
My organization. Only people who sign in from your organisation will be able to view the dashboard. Anonymous users won’t be able to access it.
Public. Anyone on the internet will be able to view your default dashboard. Anonymous users will be able to access it.
Select Save.
Learn more about public sharing.
Select > System.
In the User interface section, select Default dashboard.
Select Add Gadget. To view all available gadgets, select Load all gadgets.
Find the gadget you want to add. You can also filter the gadgets by searching for or clicking a category on the left.
Select Add gadget for the gadget you want to add.
If you add a gadget that not all users have permission to, they simply won't see that gadget on the default dashboard. For example, the Administration gadget will not be visible to non-admin users.
Select > System
In the User interface section, select Default dashboard.
Click Edit Layout.
Select a layout for your default dashboard.
After configuring the default dashboard and adding the gadgets that your team needs, you can view the dashboard as a wallboard.
Select > System
In the User interface section, select Default dashboard.
Click Tools > View as Wallboard.
To set up and view a wallboard slideshow, you need to set up multiple dashboards first. This means you'll need to create custom dashboards and then view them as a wallboard slideshow.
