Check a user’s access from a work item
Whether you want to test a newly created permissions setup or find out why a user can’t perform an action, the Permission helper can validate your permissions configuration.
To see what permissions a user has on a work item:
Select Settings (), then System.
Under the Admin helper section, select Permission helper.
Select the User, Work item, and Permission for which you’d like to see more details.
Leave the User field blank to view what anonymous users can do.
Select Submit.
The Permission helper lists all the permissions that user has for the work item you selected. If you select Show failed conditions, you’ll see why this user can’t perform the selected actions.
