Depending on your needs, you may need to use one or more of the following methods to migrate to Confluence Cloud. Learn more about choosing a migration method

Upgrade to Confluence Cloud Migration Assistant 3.3.7 or higher and Confluence Server / Data Center 6.15 or higher

To give you a more stable and reliable migration experience, we’ve improved the way attachments and other media files are migrated.

Starting September 19, 2022, we recommend you upgrade to:

  • Confluence Cloud Migration Assistant 3.3.7 or higher

  • Confluence Server or Data Center 6.15 or higher before using the Confluence Cloud Migration Assistant

Starting January 31, 2023, you won’t be able to use:

  • Confluence Cloud Migration Assistant 3.3.6 and lower

  • Confluence Server / Data Center 6.14 and lower when using the Confluence Cloud Migration Assistant

Confluence Cloud space import

The Confluence Cloud Migration Assistant supports the vast majority of migrations, but there are some cases where another method may be required. An alternative to using the Confluence Cloud Migration Assistant to complete a cloud-to-cloud migration is to perform a Confluence space export and import.
