Get started with Rovo Desktop

Rovo Desktop is the best way to access Rovo from your Windows or macOS device. It’s a dedicated spot to chat, manage agents, and complete tasks while staying connected to your workplace knowledge.

You need an Atlassian account with access to Rovo. For example, Jira, Confluence, or the Rovo standalone app.
Depending on your organization’s settings, you may need to log in via SSO and to allow network/firewall access to Atlassian domains. Read more about access
Download Rovo Desktop on Windows
To start using Rovo on your Windows device:
Download the Windows installer for Rovo Desktop:
For x64 devices, download this installer
For ARM devices, download this installer
Select the .MSI file to run the installer (or double-click it).
Once installed, launch Rovo Desktop from the Start menu.

To start using Rovo on your Apple device:
Download the macOS installer for Rovo Desktop:
For x64 devices, download this installer
For ARM devices, download this installer
Select the .DMG file to run the installer (or double-click it)
In the pop-up window, drag Rovo into applications.
Open Finder, then select Applications.
Select Rovo Desktop.
Start using Rovo Desktop
Open the Rovo Desktop app.
Select Sign in with Atlassian.
On the Atlassian login screen, enter your details or, if required, log in via your SSO.
If this is a first-time setup, you’ll need to give Rovo Desktop permissions to connect to your site.
If prompted, choose which site in your organization you’d like to connect to Rovo Desktop.

Rovo Desktop is designed to integrate with how you naturally work and can be granted permission to access your screen and microphone. If granted these permissions, you can use Rovo Desktop to:
Capture a screenshot of a selected or active window. When you submit a prompt, you can include that screenshot as extra information for the AI to generate a response.
Use dictation to create and edit prompts.
Ways to use Rovo Desktop
Once you’re logged in, you can start using Rovo Desktop right away. Here are some suggestions to try out:
Start a chat and ask a question about your project or company policies.
Open Agents from the chat menu and run a go-to task. For example, draft a summary of a meeting or create action items from a Loom.
Start a task by navigating to the Max tab. Run complex, multi-step tasks with the power of RovoDev.
Select Add (+) to add extra context to your prompts from any apps you’re running.
Upload an image or file and ask Rovo to summarize or highlight anything on your to-do list.
