Restore a classification level

Data classification is currently only available through the Atlassian Information Security Beta program. If you’re not part of the program, subscribe to our Cloud roadmap to be informed when this feature becomes generally available.

Restore a classification level from the archive to use it again. When you restore a classification level from the archive, it’s restored as a draft.

Who can do this?
Role: Organization admin

To restore a classification level:

  1. Go to admin.atlassian.com. Select your organization if you have more than one.

  2. Select Security > Data classification.

  3. Select the More actions menu (•••) near the Create classification level button.

  4. Select View archived levels.

  5. Select the Restore in the same row as the classification level you want to restore.

When you’re ready for your users to start classifying Confluence pages and Jira issues, you can publish the classification level. Learn how to publish a classification level

If the classification level had been published before being archived, restored, and published again, any pages and issues classified at this level before it was archived will regain this classification level.
