Assets is included with Service Collection Paid plans (Standard, Premium, and Enterprise). What Assets is and how it works.

Display name is currently restricted to customers enrolled in the Beta trial of the Assets common data model. Some details may change before general availability.

A label for an object type is what you’ll see whenever your object is referenced in Assets, Jira workflows or Confluence pages. By default, we set the label as the “Name” attribute, but you can set an object type’s label to any attribute with a “Text” Type value. For example, you could set your object type’s label as an Invoice Number or Job Role instead the Name. In the Attributes view, your object type’s label will be marked with a label icon.

The label designates one attribute (such as the Name attribute) as the object type’s display attribute, and is set at the object-type level under Attributes. This is separate from the object type’s Display name. The Display name is the user-facing name of the object type itself, from which Assets derives a system Name for use in AQL and automations. Setting or changing a label does not change the Display name, and does not affect AQL or automations.
