filepath
Data Manager is included in all Service Collection Premium and Enterprise plans.
File path is a field within the flat file configuration screen that allows you to specify the path, filename, and extension of a data source file that you are using to create raw data when you fetch a data source.
The file path field must contain the exact path and filename of your data file (which may be on your network), or an error will occur when the data source is fetched. Here are some sample filenames and paths for different operating systems:
macOS –
/data-manager_data_filesWindows –
c:\DataManagerDataFiles
Currently, Data Manager is designed to read data from a local or network file path. However, if your file is hosted on the web (for example, Bitbucket, Google Sheets, or other cloud storage services), they provide synchronisation tools that allow you to mount web‑hosted files as a local drive or folder, then Data Manager can access it like a local file. For example:
Google Drive – use Google Drive for Desktop to sync files locally.
Bitbucket – use
git cloneto keep the files locally updated.WebDAV/FTP – map the storage location as a network drive.
