Configure a PowerShell-based data source
Data Manager is included in all Service Collection Premium and Enterprise plans.
Use a PowerShell‑based data source to bring data into Data Manager from tools that expose data via PowerShell.
This task requires Data Manager Adapters admin permissions.
Create a PowerShell‑based data source
From the app switcher, select Assets.
Select Data Manager in the sidebar.
Select Object classes.
Select the Show data sources button beside the desired object class
Select + Add.
Under Third-Party Apps, select the PowerShell‑based data source for your tool.

Configure a PowerShell‑based data source
Each PowerShell‑based third-party app requires different configuration (for example, script paths, credentials, connection options).
To configure:
Complete all required (
*) fields, before clicking Configure your data source.Refer to the data source page under Learn about data sources for details about:
required fields
authentication and authorisation
scripts or commands invoked
data fields retrieved
Secure values entered (passwords, secrets) are encrypted and shown as ********************. You can delete and re‑enter them when editing.
Save a PowerShell‑based job
When all required fields are completed and mappings (if any) are set, select Save.
Your PowerShell‑based job appears in All jobs and can be run using the Adapters client.
