Run a Transform Function

Transform functions are instructions attached to a data source that convert Raw data into Transformed data. They are often used to:

• remove unnecessary characters in raw data

• format dates

• calculate date differences

• convert data types

Transform functions run automatically when you run a data source via the Adapters client. You can also run them manually using Run transform from the Transform functions screen.

To Run transform is useful when you’ve changed your transform configuration and want to validate the transformed data before cleansing and merging.

Run a Transform function using Run transform

1. From the sidebar, select Assets.

2. In Data Manager, select Object classes.

3. Select the Show data sources button beside the Object class.

4. Select the data source you wish to transform.

5. Select Modify transforms.

6. Select Run transform.

7. Select Start.

You can view the results immediately from the Data tab.
