Configure mapping
Data Manager is included in all Service Collection Premium and Enterprise plans.
Mapping connects fields from data sources to object attributes in Data Manager.
Before you can configure mapping:
A data source must be configured; and
A fetch of the data source must have run to create Raw data.
Configure mapping
Data Manager will automatically match source and destination attributes when the labels are the same.
From the sidebar, select Assets.
In Data Manager, select Object classes.
Select the Show data sources button beside the Object class.
Select the data source you wish to map.
Select Configure mapping.
For each field:
If the field should not be mapped, leave the attribute as
<ignore>.To map to an existing attribute, select an existing attribute from the list (for example, map
Operating SystemtoOperatingSystem). Note: Only attributes with the same column type will display (that is; ifInventoryDate (Date)is a date column type, then only attriibtues with a date tye will display in the list to select).If no appropriate attribute exists and the field must be mapped:
<create new>を選択します。Enter a Name for the new object attribute.
[作成] を選択します。
Ensure:
The appropriate field is defined as the Primary key (radio button).
Any Secondary key fields are correctly flagged (checkbox).
When all fields are mapped and keys defined, select Save mapping.
Edit an Attribute mapping
From the sidebar, select Assets.
In Data Manager, select Object classes.
Select the Show data sources button beside the Object class.
Select the data source you wish to map.
Select Configure mapping.
Modify mappings as required.
Select Save mapping.
Reset an Attribute mapping
Resetting returns a mapping to its default state; where attributes with matching labels are automatically matched.
From the sidebar, select Assets.
In Data Manager, select Object classes.
Select the Show data sources button beside the Object class.
Select the data source you wish to map.
Select Configure mapping.
Select Reset to default.
In the confirmation dialog, select Reset.
Save a Default attribute mapping
Default attribute mappings can be reused across identical data sources. For example, if you use the same tool but need to set up multiple data sources with different credentials, you can Save mapping for other data sources; which lets you Load attribute mappings in the subsequent data sources. Select the Show data sources button beside the Object class.
Select the data source you wish to map.
Select Configure mapping.
Once the mapping is as desired, slide the Save mapping for other data sources option.
Select Save mapping.
Load attribute mappings
Default attribute mappings can be reused across identical data sources. For example, if you use the same tool but need to set up multiple data sources with different credentials, you can Save mapping for other data sources; which lets you Load attribute mappings in the subsequent data sources.
