Data source type
Data Manager is included in all Service Collection Premium and Enterprise plans.
A data source type is a group of similar data sources that share a predefined pattern that helps to define raw data incoming from the Adapters client. The type is determined by the data the tool is delivering – for example, CMDB, Asset, AV, People, Department, and Locations.
Many third-party tools have their own data source types, which are optimized for use with one or more tools. When you configure a data source, you select an existing data source type or create a new one based on the type of data in the tool. Some tools will automatically add a data source type.
