Column heading row

The column heading row is a field in the flat file configuration screen and identifies the row in a CSV or data file that contains the names of the headings for each column. This is important when you are creating or editing a data source that reads from a file, because it lets Data Manager know how the data is arranged.

If you are using the Auto‑generate column mappings field, you must copy and paste the correct column headings into the field before Data Manager generates the appropriate mappings. The order of columns is critical and each flat file received must be in the same order as the original file.
