What are the compliance and residency expectations for Assets Data Manager?
Data Manager is included in all Service Collection Premium and Enterprise plans.
Data Manager contains:
middleware components (the Adapters client and Cleanse & Import client), and
cloud‑based components.
The information on this page applies only to the cloud‑based components of Data Manager. It does not apply to raw data that is stored with third‑party systems or stored locally.
Data Manager does not currently comply with FedRAMP, BYOK encryption, or the requirements of data portability as outlined in the Atlassian Privacy Policy. For more information, see the Atlassian Customer Agreement and Privacy Policy.
Does Data Manager impact my compliance with GDPR?
Atlassian processes and transmits data for Data Manager in accordance with:
Atlassian’s Privacy Policy
the Data Processing Addendum
Atlassian’s GDPR commitment

Is Data Manager SOC 2 and ISO compliant?
Yes. Data Manager has completed an external assessment and is certified as:
SOC 2 compliant
ISO/IEC 27001:2022 compliant
Will Data Manager allow changes to data residency settings?
At this time, Jira Service Management data residency for Data Manager is set during the initial initialization of the Data Manager feature. After the feature is initialized, Data Manager does not support changing the data residency location.
For example: if you select a US data residency at initialization, switching to an EU data residency later is not supported for Data Manager.
