Configuring Reasons

Data Manager is included in all Service Collection Premium and Enterprise plans.

This task requires Data Manager admin permissions.

Reasons describe why a record was excluded (removed) or filtered during cleansing. Reasons are attached to cleansing rules and appear in cleansing statistics.

View all Reasons

  1. From the sidebar, select Assets.

  2. In Data Manager, select Object classes.

  3. Select the ellipses () button beside the Object classes heading.

  4. From Data Manager settings, select Reasons.

Add a Reason

  1. From the sidebar, select Assets.

  2. In Data Manager, select Object classes.

  3. Select the ellipses () button beside the Object classes heading.

  4. From Data Manager settings, select Reasons.

  5. Select + Add reason.

  6. Enter a Reason.

  7. Select Save.

Edit a Reason

  1. From the sidebar, select Assets.

  2. In Data Manager, select Object classes.

  3. Select the ellipses () button beside the Object classes heading.

  4. From Data Manager settings, select Reasons.

  5. Select the Reason to adjust and modify inline.

Delete a Reason

  1. From the sidebar, select Assets.

  2. In Data Manager, select Object classes.

  3. Select the ellipses () button beside the Object classes heading.

  4. From Data Manager settings, select Reasons.

  5. Select the appropriate delete icon from the Actions column.

  6. Confirm Delete.

Deleting a Reason permanently removes it. Any cleansing rules associated with that Reason remain and will still function, but will no longer reference that Reason.
