Set up roles for Data Manager
Data Manager is included in all Service Collection Premium and Enterprise plans.
This task requires Asset app admin permissions.
Roles control who can perform specific actions in Data Manager.
Add a group or user to a role
To add users or groups to a Data Manager role:
From the app switcher, select Assets.
Select Assets settings.
Select Data Manager in the sidebar.
Under Access, locate the role and:
In the Users column, start typing to add users.
In the Groups column, start typing to add groups.
Press Enter to save each selection.
Only users and groups visible in Assets can be added to roles. You must be an Assets admin (with Jira or Jira Service Management user/admin permissions).
Remove a group or user from a role
To remove a user or group:
From the app switcher, select Assets.
Select Assets settings.
Select Data Manager in the sidebar.
Under Access:
To remove a user: open the Users column for the role, select the user, and select the “x” next to the user’s name.
To remove a group: open the Groups column for the role, select the group, and select the “x” next to the group’s name.
