Viewing records

A record is a collection of data about a particular item, such as a server, laptop or virtual environment. A record contains information gathered from multiple data sources using the Data manager, and then imported and cleansed in Records to create a single, verified entry with complete, current, and correct data.

You can view a full list of your records by selecting Records and then Analysis. On this page you can see all of your record sets:

  • Search allows you to search your record sets for a particular record set name. It DOES NOT allow the searching of individual records.

  • Detected objects refers to the number of objects that have been detected in that record set in the latest scan. It will not include objects where NULL.

  • Restricted objects refers to the number of objects that were detected, but could not be imported because of license restrictions.

To view more detailed information about your record sets and view information in the form of a chart or graph, select the record set name. There are two default charts and two default graphs available:

  • View your records as a list chart

  • View your records as a Datasource by Datasource chart

  • View your records as a Attributes by Datasource chart

  • View your records as a Venn diagram

  • View your records as an Attribute Pie chart
