Configure Dashboards
Data Manager is included in all Service Collection Premium and Enterprise plans.
This task requires Data Manager admin or Data Manager Dashboard editor permissions.
Dashboards are collections of charts that visualise your Data Manager objects. Dashboards are grouped into Dashboard groups. Each environment can have one Default dashboard which opens for all users when they go to Data visualization.
Add a Dashboard group
In Data Manager, select Data visualization in the left menu.
Select + Dashboard group.
Enter a Name.
Select Save.
Edit a Dashboard group name
In Data Manager, select Data visualization.
Select a Dashboard group, then select ….
Select Edit.
Change the name and select Save.
Delete a Dashboard group
In Data Manager, select Data visualization.
Select a Dashboard group and then ….
Select Delete.
Confirm Delete.
Add a Dashboard
You must have at least one Dashboard group.
In Data Manager, select Data visualization.
Select a Dashboard group.
Select … then Dashboard.
Enter the dashboard Name.
Use the Default toggle if this should be the default dashboard for the environment. Setting a new default automatically clears any previous default.
Select Save.
Edit a Dashboard
In Data Manager, select Data visualization.
Select a Dashboard group.
Select a Dashboard, then select Edit.
Update the name or Default setting.
Select Save.
Delete a Dashboard
Users with Dashboard editor permissions can delete their own dashboards only.
In Data Manager, select Data visualization.
Select a Dashboard group.
Select a Dashboard, then choose Delete.
Confirm Delete.
Modify dashboard layout
You can rearrange charts on a dashboard and then lock the layout.
In Data Manager, select Data visualization.
Select a Dashboard group, then a Dashboard.
Select Modify layout.
Drag and drop charts into the desired arrangement.
Select Lock layout when finished.
Changes apply to all users.
Add a Chart to a Dashboard
You must have at least one Dashboard group.
In Data Manager, select Data visualization.
Select a Dashboard group, then a Dashboard.
Select Add.
Enter a Title for the chart.
Select a Chart type.
Select an Object class to define which objects the chart uses.
Depending on chart type, select one or more Saved searches.
Select Save.
Edit a Chart
In Data Manager, select Data visualization.
Select a Dashboard group and a Dashboard.
Select the chart you want to edit.
Select … then Edit.
Update the chart configuration.
Select Save.
Delete a Chart
In Data Manager, select Data visualization.
Select a Dashboard group and a Dashboard.
Select the chart you want to remove.
Select … then Delete.
Confirm Delete.
