Export Jira Product Discovery data to CSV, Excel and GSheets

Download ideas into CSV format

Export lets you quickly download ideas and their field information from any view as CSV files.

Before you begin

  • Your user role must have the Export a view permission enabled by a project admin.

  • You can’t export insights however if you export a file with the field insights, you will see the number of insights for that idea.

Steps

  1. In your project, select a view and go to

  2. Click Download CSV.

 

Currently, reactions and Atlas fields aren’t supported by the export.

Once you’ve downloaded the CSV file, you can open it in such apps as Excel or Google Sheets.


Export data to Excel with the native app

Before you begin

  • You need a Microsoft account or the Excel Desktop app installed on your computer.

Steps

  1. In Jira Product Discovery, go to Filters located at the top bar and then go to Advanced issue search.

  2. In the filters, select the Jira Product Discovery projects whose data you want to export.

  3. Select the fields you want to add to the export by going to + More.

The fields: delivery progress, delivery status, and custom formulas aren’t supported in the export.

4. Once you’ve selected your filters select the Excel located at the top of the screen to open the data in an Excel spreadsheet and select whether you want to open the spreadsheet in a desktop or online version.

Once you land in the spreadsheet, you can easily modify the data you pull from Jira by changing the filter options you see in the Jira app window.


Export data to Google Sheets

Before you begin

  • You need a Google account.

Steps

  1. In Jira Product Discovery, go to Filters located at the top bar and then go to Advanced issue search.

  2. In the filters, select the Jira Product Discovery data you want to export.

  3. Select the fields you want to add to the export by going to + More

The fields: delivery progress, delivery status, and custom formulas aren’t supported in the export.

4. Once you’ve selected your filters, select the Google Sheets icon located at the top of the screen to open the data in a Google spreadsheet.
