Install the Jira Product Discovery Chrome extension

This extension enables you to navigate any site, gather information and send it to Jira Product Discovery as an insight. Learn to install the extension in a few quick steps.

Steps

1. To install the Chrome extension, go to any idea and under the insights tab and click the Chrome link.

2. In the Chrome store, click Add to Chrome.

3. In your browser, click the Chrome extension icon, and select the pin icon for Jira Product Discovery.

Capture any web data with the Chrome extension

The Jira Product Discovery Chrome extension lets you capture data from user interview notes such as highlights of words and sentences, screenshots, or any website information and send it into insights.

Before you begin

• You need to have the Jira Product Discovery Chrome extension.

Steps

1. On a website, highlight a piece of information you want to add to an idea and right-click your mouse.

2. Select Add to idea. Every time you do this, the Chrome extension icon displays a number corresponding to the number of items you’ve got to send to an idea. You can bulk edit them later.

3. When you are ready to send the information to the idea, click the extension icon in the navigation bar to open the editor.

4. Select the project and idea where you want to add the items.

5. You can add several items to an idea but if you prefer you can remove some, under “Add to idea”, by selecting the cross.

6. Finally, you can capture screenshots by clicking the camera icon at the bottom of the editor.

7. Complete the fields and click Add.
