Create a Jira issue from Jira Product Discovery

When an idea has been prioritized in Jira Product Discovery, you can connect it to delivery work planned and executed in Jira. Think of ideas in Jira Product Discovery as the first step before you your team start tracking and delivering work in Jira. Track the delivery progress for from the idea in Jira Product Discovery. To do this you can create an epic or task from the idea’s delivery tab.

Before you begin

• You need to have at least one Jira project.

• You must be a creator or an admin in Jira Product Discovery and have permission to create an issue in Jira to perform this action.

Steps

1. In Jira Product Discovery, select the idea you want to convert into a Jira epic.

2. On the right-hand panel that just opened, Click Delivery.

3. Select the Jira project where you want to create the ticket.

4. Select the issue type and modify the ticket name if needed.

5. Select Create. Once the ticket is created you can see the delivery progress bar and the linked Jira ticket to the idea.
