About Jira Product Discovery

The Jira Cloud for Microsoft Teams app allows you to connect Jira projects including Product Discovery projects to Microsoft Teams so you can see personal notifications, view ideas in a tab within a Chat or Team channel, create ideas from comments, add insights to existing ideas, and interact with your issues and ideas from within Teams.
You need a Microsoft Teams paid account.
Log into Microsoft Teams and go to Apps located at the bottom left corner, on the nav bar.
in the Apps search, find Jira Cloud and select it. You can now see a preview of the app.
Click Add.
You have a few options for how to add Jira Cloud to Microsoft Teams. Usually, most teamwork takes place in the Team Channel. Choosing this option will also install the bot to your personal view so that you can set up your own personal notifications.
Follow the prompts for permissions and log in. You will then see a notification in the Chat tab letting you know the bot has been installed.
Once the installation is completed you’ll get prompted to sign in or take a tour to learn how to get started using Jira in Teams.
Navigate to the Jira Cloud app within Teams.
Type "notifications" to the bot.
Select which notifications you want to receive.
Click > Save
Click + located at the top right.
Select Jira Cloud.
Select your Cloud site.
Select your saved filter.
Click Save.
Hover over a conversation and Click (…).
Select Create issue in Jira.
Select your Jira Product Discovery project and select idea as the issue type.
Fill in the summary and description and click Create.
Hover over a conversation and Click (…).
Select Comment in Jira.
Type your insight, select your delivery project and under select your issue, select the idea you want to add the insight to.
Select Post comment.
Click the Jira icon in the message composition area
Select and configure your Jira Cloud site
Search for your issue
Select the Issue to send in the conversation
You’ll see the Jira logo in the left panel.
Right-click the icon.
Select Uninstall.
Confirm Uninstall.
