Import existing Jira work items into Jira Product Discovery
You can easily map and import existing Jira work items into Jira Product Discovery using two methods: bulk move from Jira or CSV export/import. Before you begin importing data, you need to either export a CSV containing all data or bulk move the work items to a Jira Product Discovery space.
Method 1: Use a CSV export/import
Export the data you want to transfer to a CSV file:
Find your Jira space, go to Filter, and then select the work items you want to export. Check out available options to search for Jira work items
After filtering the selection of work items, select at the right side of the work items list configure the columns, and then check what fields to keep for the export.
At the top of the screen, select Export work items > Export Excel CSV (all fields) if you want to export all work items fields, or choose Export Excel (current fields) to export only the fields you chose.
Save the file
You can use the CSV as a template by leaving the headers and modifying the actual data before importing it.
Import the CSV file into Jira Product Discovery
Go to your Jira Product Discovery space
Select + Create button located at the top navigation bar, then select the import icon next to Configure form.
Select the CSV file you want to use, and then select Next.
Now you need to follow the wizard. Once the import is completed, you’ll be able to see the list of ideas in your Jira Product Discovery space.
Method 2: Bulk move from Jira
To import ideas from an existing space, go to Filters > View all work items.
Find the work items you want to import. Learn all about the available types of search.
At the top right, select () > Bulk change all iwork items.
Now you land in a wizard that will help you to move your work items into a Jira Product Discovery space.
