About Assets settings

Assets settings let you manage global configurationse that apply across all Assets schemas and objects, such as reference types, statuses, and appearance settings.

How to access Assets settings?

You need to be an Assets admin to access Assets settings:

  1. Go to Settings in the top navigation bar.

  2. Select App settings > Assets settings.

What can you manage in Assets settings?

  • App usage: Shows how many Assets objects you’re using, how usage changes over time, and how that usage is distributed across schemas. How the usage limit works for Assets.

  • Global reference types: Global reference types define how objects are related in Assets by describing the type of relationship between inbound and outbound references, such as dependency or replacement. Read more about global reference types.

  • Global statuses: Define statuses to manage the lifecycle state of Assets objects, such as active, pending, or inactive, and can be reused across schemas or defined per schema. Read more about statuses.

  • Global icons: Customize icons used to visually identify object types across Assets. Read more about icons.

  • Announcement banner: Admins can add an announcement banner to communicate important information to everyone in Assets. How to create announcement banners.
