Validate attributes with regular expressions
Assets is included with Service Collection Paid plans (Standard, Premium, and Enterprise). What Assets is and how it works.
You can use regular expressions to validate default Text, Email, and URL attributes in Assets. This can be useful for enforcing validation rules for information like IP addresses or domain names. You must be logged in as an Assets admin with Jira or Jira Service Management access or have Object Schema Manager permissions to do so.
From the app switcher, select Assets
From your sidebar, select Schemas.
Select an object schema.
Select the relevant object type.
Select Attributes.
Select the gear icon next to the attribute, then Settings in the dropdown.
Under the Validation tab, enter the regular expression you want to use to validate the input.
