Data Manager - Primary key

Assets Data Manager is available as a standard feature to all users with an Atlassian Cloud Premium or Enterprise instance of Assets. View and vote on our list of upcoming features.

The Primary key is the value that is used by Data Manager to identify how unique objects are defined from data sources.

For example, if an attribute called Stock number was selected as a primary key, when the import was run, an object would be created for each unique stock number found in every data source. Where the same stock number was found in multiple data sources, Data Manager would combine the values from these data sources according to the Data source priority.

If the same attribute is not found across each data source, then a Secondary key must be used to reconcile the data.
