Data Manager - Data Source Type

A Data Source Type is a group of similar data sources that share a predefined pattern that helps to define raw data incoming from Adapters. The type is determined by the data the tool is delivering - e.g., CMDB, Asset, AV, People, Department, and Locations.

Many third-party tools have their own Data Source Types, which are optimized for use with one or more tools - when you Create a job, you will select an existing data source type or create a new one based on the type of data in the tool. Some tools will automatically add a Data Source Type.
